Standard Meat Company recently appointed Bill Chandler as its new Senior Director of Supply Chain.
Bill brings over three decades of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and sales, with a focus on beef operations and transferable skills across pork and poultry categories. During his 19-year tenure at Cargill, he held eight progressive roles, including Vice President of Protein Trade Sales, where he oversaw one of the company’s most profitable divisions. Bill’s expertise spans strategic risk management, process improvement initiatives, and people-first leadership.
“Known for being a mentor and coach, Bill is a highly analytical team builder with extensive experience in proteins,” said Managing Director Kimberly Bretz. “His ability to adapt and deliver results across a diverse market positions him perfectly to lead Standard Meat’s supply into its next phase of growth.”
In his new role as Senior Director of Supply Chain, Bill will oversee procurement, logistics, and inventory management across multiple facilities. This critical leadership position requires optimizing operations to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality beef, chicken, and pork products. Additionally, he will be responsible for developing strategic buying strategies, fostering supplier relationships, and implementing innovative processes that align with Standard Meat’s growth objectives.
