Premier vertically integrated pork company Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) recently welcomed Mike Riley to the organization as the new Vice President of Processed Meat Sales.
A seasoned sales leader, Riley brings more than three decades of experience in food production across a variety of functions. Throughout his tenure in the industry, he’s held roles with FDL Dubuque Hormel, Smithfield, Specialty Food Groups, and Branding Iron Holdings.
“Having worked on all sides of the business from operations to sales, Mike brings a deep understanding of the pork industry and a demonstrated track record of success,” said Managing Director Lisa Johnson. “Paired with his extensive network, Mike’s ability to understand the customer’s needs will prove invaluable in his new role.”
As the Vice President of Processed Meat Sales at IPC, Riley will lead all sales activities across the company and its subsidiaries. With the role being focused on developing and executing sales strategies for both Fresh and Processed business lines, he will work cross functionally to develop strategies and coordinate objectives based on research to define new market opportunities. His key responsibilities include pipeline monitoring, team alignment, and strategy implementation in addition to overseeing forecasting and inventory management to enhance operational efficiency.
“Mike is known for his authentic, engaging leadership style that encourages collaboration and relationship building,” said Engagement Director Stephen Coffey. “He is an excellent communicator across all audiences and thinks of the big picture, making him an ideal fit for this role.”
A subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, Indiana Packers Corporation serves customers throughout the commercial food industry across the US and in more than 25 countries. Specializing in all stages to deliver a full line of fresh pork products, IPC was founded in 1989 and has continued to invest in expansion as the popularity of the ‘other white meat’ has grown.
