Leading natural aroma ingredients manufacturer AXXENCE Group recently welcomed Shawn Blythe to their team as the Chief Integration Officer.
A twenty-year flavors and fragrance industry veteran, Blythe began his career as an electrical engineer where he designed process control systems for a fragrance plant. This foundational experience paved the way for his transition into plant management and supply chain roles before expanding into regulatory and integration. Blythe held a number of roles at International Flavors and Fragrances such as VP, Global Regulatory Affairs and SVP, Chief Transformation Officer, before starting his own consulting company prior to joining AXXENCE.

AXXENCE Group is a leading manufacturer and supplier of natural aroma chemicals (NACs) for the global flavor & fragrance industry headquartered in Germany. A portfolio company of capiton AG, AXXENCE produces over 260 NACs which are sold in more than 35 countries and has recently expanded its footprint through the acquisition of a specialty chemical plant in the U.S.
As Chief Integration Officer, Blythe is responsible for managing the seamless integration of the newly acquired US plant into AXXENCE Group’s global operations. He will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive 100-day integration plan, oversee day-to-day operations, and manage the P&L for U.S. operations.
Blythe will work closely with the European salesforce to integrate U.S. operations into the broader commercial strategy and ensure effective market penetration in the U.S. As the primary liaison between AXXENCE and capiton AG’s teams, he will facilitate clear communication and provide expert advice on integration processes and regulatory compliance.
