Recently, global market leader in developing high yield rice seed RiceTec, Inc. (RiceTech) welcomed Amitabh Mohanty, PhD to the organization as the Head of Global Research & Development.
Responsible for aligning the technology vision with the overall company strategy, Mohanty will drive the transformation of product development function. He will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders across the regions to define product concepts and drive regulatory processes. Additionally, he is tasked with identifying and cultivating partnerships and opportunities.
“Analytical and strategic, Amitabh is a highly accomplished science and technology leader with a demonstrated track record of success,” said Managing Director Heiri Gugger. “His natural ability to translate strategy into actionable steps and think globally will serve him well in this new role.”
Mohanty’s rich career history includes roles with DuPont Pioneer leading trait discovery and with the National Genomics and Genotyping Facility in New Dehli where he was the organization’s Program Director. Most recently, Mohanty served as the Leader of Global Biotech Operations for Corteva.
